Time to add a few more cards that I have received!

Well at least I haven't been away so long this time.  We are in the middle of the latest polar Vortex so I'm keeping warm working in the house.  The mail lately brought me a few more birthday cards and I am sharing them here.
From Paula P. is the top blue card.  I love that Swiss Dots embossing folder, it is my all time favorite!  The second card is from Barbara H. and I love that punch she used and have never seen it before!
Last one for today is this spunky little gal from Holly Y.  Great layering too!  Wow, I hit some key and thought I lost this post.  Glad that I was able to find it but I need to go work on dinner now.  Enjoy the snow everyone!

I'm on a roll with posting

Just want to post a couple of the wonderful early Birthday cards that I received yesterday from Karen B. and Toni P.   Thank you ladies for brightening my mailbox.

Karen sent me the Birday card and I love that embossed background!
Toni sent me the Thinking of you card with Birthday wishes inside.
What fun cards they are!

After receiving the cards in our late day mail we took off to join in the fun at the last Christmas party of the season, it's a White Elephant party and lots of fun!

Happy Birthday to me!

Well it is not really my Birthday yet, it's not until the end of the month, but yesterday I received a delightful collage style Birthday card from Lou Ann Leonard and I wanted to share it here with you today.  It is my very first Birthday card!

Enjoy this great use of the Sizzix Tim Holtz view master wheel die!

Wedding Card

Thought I'd try to post a little more often.  Let me see if I still have the photo of the card that I made for my daughter's wedding.  I was really happy with it and so was she.

This card was made of a pearlized white cardstock and I adhered a layer of vellum like paper that has the soft floral design and glitter already in it.  Next I used a Spellbinder die to cut the frame our of the same pearlized cardstock and the bells from the Cricut cartridge "Wrap it Up".  I pop dotted parts of the bells and extra parts of the ribbon so it had a couple different heights.   Next I added some sprigs of pearls and flowers from the floral department and finished it off with half pearls outlining the bell opening and on the bow of the paper ribbon.

If I can find a photo of her shower invite, I'll add that later.

It's been awhile...

I can't believe it, it's been almost a year since I've posted.  I just wrote a long post and then didn't save it so it disappeared!  Last time I posted it was with snow pictures and guess what?  It snowed again!  I measured the snow in my backyard at night and it was over 14 inches!  Then it snowed through the night.  The weatherman didn't say it was that deep, but it was in my yard.  Here's the same patio table..

Well, most of last year was taken up with my daughter's wedding.  we made several trips to the East coast for shopping, the engagement party, a shower, and the wedding.
It was all amazing!

Another amazing thing from last year is that my hubby gave me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas!  I am definitely a newbie at it and have a lot of learning to do before I will be showing much on here but I will.

On a sad note, my MIL/Martha passed away on Dec. 19, 2013.  She will be missed and this has made a BIG change in my life and routines.  This is one of the last photos taken of her.  It was taken at my daughter's wedding shower.  The lovely bride standing in the back is Miranda and the maid of honor is my other lovely daughter, Christina.  Those were happy times for all and Grandma's presence will be remembered fondly.
