Well, here it is November already and my oldest daughter has a birthday on Sunday.
I made her this card that was inspired by the piece of background paper that my friend Andrea gave me.  She didn't care for it and I thought of the "You're sew Special" stamp that I have and the idea just grew from there.

I cut the girl from the Cricut Forever Young cartridge and the label from the Storybook cartridge, but I adjusted it a bit in CCR first.   I even went up to my sewing machine and sewed the little zig zag frame around the layer to tie in the sewing theme.

I'm not sure if you can see it in the scan or not, but I used a Sakura glitter gel pen on the needle and it really sparkles in person and adds to the card.

It's in the mail now, hope it makes it to her in time.

  1. It's great Pam! I love the stitching paper and your real stitching along the border adds a lot. I really like the jewel embellishments, especially the flower in her hair! Your daughter will love it - and she'll be surprised to get it on time! LOL!

    1. It's got 4 days to get there by Saturday because there is no delivery on Sunday, her actual birthday. From past experience, that might be cutting it close, but it shouldn't be. LOL!
